I am a dedicated Nurse Practitioner with over 12 years of experience in various nursing specialties, including emergency medicine, pediatrics, the ICU, and the NICU. However, my genuine passion for skincare led me to pursue a career in aesthetic nursing. I am highly skilled and knowledgeable in lasers, medical-grade skincare, and wellness promotion. My unwavering commitment to my patients is evident in my genuine desire to help others and my continuous pursuit of knowledge and professional growth. I firmly believe that by working collaboratively with my patients, I can effectively guide them on their journey towards optimal health and beauty.

Dr. Drew Varano
Medical director
Dr. Drew Varano has been associated with the Washington DC area since his undergraduate studies at Catholic University. After obtaining a Master’s degree in physiology and biophysics at Georgetown University, Dr. Varano attended medical school at Penn State College of Medicine. He completed residency at Medstar Franklin Square Hospital in Baltimore and did an additional year of Neurology training at Georgetown University. He is Board Certified by the American Board of Internal Medicine and a Member of the American Society of Laser Medicine and Surgery. Dr Varano also served as a department head at Sibley Memorial Hospital in Washington DC. He is licensed to practice Medicine and Surgery in District of Columbia & Virginia. Dr Varano started Medical Cosmetic Enhancements in 2003 and has been practicing cosmetic and aesthetic medicine exclusively since 2003. After residency, Dr. Varano did extra training and worked with a facial plastic surgeon for over 7 years. He is certified by the following:

In 2007 Dr. Varano was certified for Liposuction under local anesthesia. He has served as a luminary physician for Palomar Laser. This includes teaching other physicians about the safe and effective uses of Slimlipo Laser Liposuction. He also serves as a luminary physician for ThermiRF which involves education other physicians on Thermitight & ThermiVA. He has been performing multiple laser and skin care enhancing procedures since 2002, and oversees the office which routinely perform over 5000 treatments a year and has performed over 3000 surgical liposuction cases. Dr. Drew Varano has been featured in several TV programs focusing on the latest laser and non invasive technology such as FOX, CBS, & ABC News, Retirement Living TV &Today’s Health. He has served as a consultant for USA Today News.

Tala Alshaboot is a female professional with a diverse background in international affairs and the medical field. Growing up in the vibrant city of New York, Tala developed a keen interest in the importance of aesthetics, particularly in showcasing female beauty. This early passion for aesthetics has remained a significant aspect of her life and career.
Upon moving to Northern Virginia for higher education, Tala pursued a degree in International Affairs, leveraging her interest in global issues to make a positive impact. She dedicated her early career to a non-profit organization within the government sector, gaining valuable experience in policy-making and advocacy.
Driven by her deep-seated passion for healthcare and aesthetics, Tala transitioned to the medical field after undergoing rigorous training. She quickly excelled, becoming the regional manager for a highly successful pediatric dental office in Arlington, Virginia. Her leadership in establishing this practice underscores her expertise in optimizing healthcare operations and fostering growth. In her current role, Tala advises other medical practices on strategies for business expansion, operational efficiency, and increased profitability, drawing from her multifaceted background in international affairs and healthcare.
Outside of work, Tala continues to nurture her passion for aesthetics, staying abreast of industry developments and advocating for the importance of showcasing female beauty. This combination of diverse expertise, strategic acumen, and a genuine passion for healthcare and aesthetics defines Tala Alshaboot as a dynamic and impactful professional in her field.
In addition to her current role, Tala is opening KenshoDerm, a new medical spa business. Her inspiration for Kensho came after vacationing in Mykonos one summer, where she experienced luxurious Mediterranean Beauty Rituals. She aims to implement these rituals at KenshoDerm, offering clients a unique and rejuvenating experience rooted in the beauty traditions of the Mediterranean.
